When you land at Antalya Airport, you have three main ways to reach your hotel: a private transfer, a taxi or a shared shuttle. Each has different strengths. Here they are compared on the same criteria so you can choose well.
Price
- Private transfer: fixed price per vehicle, confirmed in writing in advance. The per-person cost drops for larger groups.
- Taxi: metered; you only know the total at the end.
- Shuttle: usually priced per person; can be economical for solo travellers.
Time
A private transfer or a taxi takes you straight to your hotel. A shuttle also stops at other passengers' hotels, which can add a lot of time — especially to distant areas such as Side or Kemer — and it may wait for passengers from other flights before leaving.
Comfort and luggage
With a private transfer, the vehicle is matched to your group: a Mercedes Vito for up to six passengers, a Mercedes Sprinter for seven to twelve, with luggage space planned accordingly. Taxi boot space is limited, and larger families may need two taxis.
Meeting at the airport
With a private transfer, your driver waits in arrivals with a name sign. For a taxi you queue; for a shuttle you find your tour operator's desk. After a long flight — especially with children — the difference is noticeable.

Watch out for hidden costs
When comparing, don't look only at the headline price. A family that has to split across two taxis pays more in total. A cheap shuttle fare often comes with a long wait and a route that stops at many hotels. With a private transfer, the price confirmed at booking is the price you pay at the end.

- Know the meeting point and a number you can reach in advance.
- Share your flight number when booking.
- Check the vehicle has enough seats and luggage space for your group.
